I will quickly post the next gorgeous block in the Forget-me-not quilt while I can. The next delightful block has been designed by Amy Butler of Amy Butler Design. I love how bold the colors are, yet it coordinates beautifully with all the other designs.

We're ready to reveal the 6th Quilt Block that makes up the beautiful Forget-me-not quilt for the cure. Look at the detail in this pretty block. It's so feminine and whimsical. (and quite possibly..so mine!) I've stated my intentions from the start. Care to challenge me?
This beautiful block has been designed by Alma Allen - Blackbird Designs. How lovely is this? Now remember.. there are 24 blocks that make up this masterpiece. I personally am so excited about having the opportunity to purchase a raffle ticket while at the same time donating to such a worthy cause. Today we're so happy to be able to show you the divine details of quilt block No. 5 of the Forget-me-not Quilt for the Cure. This pretty block was created by the designer Alex Anderson and is named "hope". As you can see, by itself, it's simplistic beauty is inspiring, but together with the other inspirational blocks, this quilt is all one could ever hope for and more.

I get excited every time I click on the link and see how magnificent the Forget-me-not quilt is. I never get tired of looking at the detail and the beauty of each individual block. Todays amazing quilt block was designed by Marie Osmond - Quilting Treasures.
Today, as we move into the Memorial Day weekend, this quilt seems to have even more significance. So many of us have been touched by someone that has breast cancer, whether it be as a survivor, or having lost someone dear to us. There seems so little about breast cancer that we can smile about, but this makes me smile. Twenty four amazing designers coming together in hopes that they can make a difference. This is our opportunity to support their efforts while at the same time contributing to such a worthy cause. Quilt 'n Stitch Marketplace
After blogging about the Forgetmenot Quilt for the cure a few days ago, I realized that unless we are at the market where the quilt will be on display, we don't really have a way of seeing the detail and artistry of each and every block that makes up this beautiful quilt. I spoke with Meg Hawkey of Crabapple Hill Studio (master mind behind this amazing project) and asked if I could showcase a block a day so that everyone could see the intricate details and workmanship. I have to warn you, as if donating to Susan G Komen for the cure wasn't enough of a reason, when you see this quilt up-close, the game will be on! I also feel it's only fair to warn you that I have my sights set on winning this quilt. I'll be purchasing a ticket each week. How about you? Are you up for the challenge?
